Tired of sitting and watching your sewing machine work without you?
Then how about getting a second sewing machine to keep yourself busy! We have lots of excellent used machines that might be just what you need. Don’t like the idea of a used machine?
We also have floor models on clearance that were only used for demonstration purposes and would come with a full warranty. All of the clearance machines have been inspected and cleaned.


A NOTE ABOUT CLASSES:
Remember that Victoria takes appointments for other heirloom projects not listed and Judy also offers quilt piecework lessons by appointment. AND As with other classes we try to accommodate you as much as possible.

So if the dates that the classes are listed on are not good for you, please call us and make an appointment.

COMPUTER CLASSES
These COMPUTER CLASSES are designed with our customers in mind.

Computer Basics:
Afraid of your computer? Then this class will definitely be of interest to you. Let us introduce you to your computer, so that you can become friends. The more comfortable you are with it the more you will use it.

Class Fee: $20 per class


A New Class!
"Do I have to have software to get the designs onto my embroidery machine?"
This is a frequently asked question and the answer is a resounding yes and no. Yes, there are machines out there that you do have to have some software to enable you to get the designs to them in the language the machine understands. But for the most part, no you do not need software. This class will teach you how to get the designs to your computer (in the correct language) and then to your embroidery machine.

Using your 4D Software
Start with 4D software and learn the basic ins and outs. Learn how to set up file folders, download your designs, save your designs to your computer and another port, retrieve the designs once you have saved them, convert designs to your format and print out a template of the design with a color chart. Bring your laptop and dongle. If you don’t own a laptop please contact us so we can have one here for you to use.

SEWING CLASSES


Sewing Room Couture

by Victoria’s Heirlooms

The Sewing Room Couture Series was designed by Victoria, who also did the embroidery designs on the cover, caddy, chalkboard and thread catcher. The Chalkboard uses a unique fabric that actually allows you to write on it with chalk!

Bring your sewing/embroidery machine and accessories (including extra feet), standard sewing thread, embroidery thread and scissors.

It all begins with the Sewing Machine Cover!

The series of 4 classes is $100.00
The kits cost $50.00 for all 4 kits.

Modkid's Patterns!
These patterns and fabrics are so vibrant and fun, they make every project a blast! Come in and just check out the combinations this pattern line has to offer. Don’t want to go it alone? Then make an appointment with Patty on a Friday and she will help you from step 1, deciding the size, to picking out the fabrics and right through until completion. Class fees apply.

Club Sew
This class is designed for adults who always wanted to learn how to sew, or anyone who just needs a refresher course.
- All individualized instruction based on project choice.
- You can take a class, or on all the Thursday nights offered.

Open Sew Day
Didn't get everything done for this Christmas?
Get a head start on next Christmas! Oh my don’t forget the up and coming graduation season or maybe you just need a little extra help finishing something. The perfect thing for you to do would be utilize this time that we have set aside to help you complete a project you have started.Reservations are a must so we can be prepared to meet your individual needs.

SERGER CLASSES

Hello Serger
Is your Serger still sitting in its original box in the back of a closet somewhere in your house? Well, it’s time for it to come of the closet and make itself useful. Learn how to make nice with your Serger, by threading it properly, learning the names of its essential parts, what to pull or what not to pull and how to give you both a thrill by adjusting the tensions knobs just so!

Christening Dresses
We have a christening dress designed and ready to teach. If you are interested in this class, please call to schedule with Victoria. They are also displayed in the store if you are interested in seeing them.

SMOCKING CLASSES


The smockers have a tendency to meet at the store on Thursday mornings. So that is when the giggles begin. Or you can actually take a class and learn many smocking techniques. Learn the basics of smocking from Victoria. $25 per session- call for an appointment.

The Basic Square Yoke Dress
This dress is a classic for any season of the year. It makes a wonderful Christmas or holiday dress and since it passes the twirl test, all young princesses love to prance around
in it!
It can be smocked by hand or machine, with an embroidery on top.(like the G dress in the store)

QUILTING CLASSES offered by Judy


Judy is offering many different quilts!
If you would like to do a quilt, but don't see any patterns that you like, why not let us design a quilt for you?

She is available Mondays 10:30 am-6 pm and Thursdays at 10:30am -4 pm. Class fees are $20 per session.



The Quickie Table Runner
Judy has been working on her “quilt as you go” on Mondays and Thursdays while she is teaching it. Just barely staying ahead of her students, she has managed to get this far. As usual she is doing a wonderful job. And the best thing is, when she puts the last row on and sews the edging up the quilt will be totally done!

Class Fee: $20 plus you will need to buy the pattern and the fabric.



Want to learn how to quilt but don’t know where to start? Try these…

The Quilt-As-You-Go Quilt
Judy has been working on her “quilt as you go” on Mondays and Thursdays while she is teaching it. Just barely staying ahead of her students, she has managed to get this far. As usual she is doing a wonderful job. And the best thing is, when she puts the last row on and sews the edging up the quilt will be totally done!

Class Fee: $20 plus you will need to buy the pattern and the fabric.



Panel Quilts
Judy will teach you how to measure, sash, border, quilt it and bind it! It is quick, easy and way too cute when it is done. You will be surprised at just how fast you can get a quilt done. This class has become very popular and we have a number of Christmas panels with which to do a Christmas quilt and have it done before that glorious day.

CLASS FEE: $60 (does not include batting, but does include 2 sessions with Judy and the kit to make a lap size quilt). Call to schedule a time

This quilt is a great example of Panel Quilting!



Quilt Of Choice
Great for beginners! Come in, talk to Judy on a Monday or Thursday, so we can recommend the best quilt for your skill level. Making a beautiful quilt is not as hard as you think! We welcome experienced quilters, too!
